Amigurumi, Crochet

Who has birthday among us?

I (re)started crocheting a few years ago, when my son was born, and made toys, hats, boots for him. Since then I’ve made a lot of things, but almost everything for my kids (sometimes for myself, or my wider family, or just to try out a new technique, to test if I can design something I found out).

This time, for the first time, I found something I could crochet for my husband! (About 10 years ago, I promised him that I’ll crochet him a new pullover… actually he is still waiting for that… 😊)

So, as he reagularly plays ‘Among us’ with his friends, I thought he would be happy if I’d crochet him a character as an amigurumi toy for his birthday.

I found and used the pattern from this page (made a few little changes though):

https://amiamour.com/among-us-amigurumi-free-crochet-pattern/

and made these two for him:

but when my kids saw these, they started to ask about this game, wanted to play as well, and asked for their own crocheted toys… so I made a few more… 😊

As my children then became familiar with this game in the meantime, they asked me to crochet hats as well, and of course I made one… and then could not stop crocheting more and more hats (they are so funny 😊), so at the end I had to make some more crew mates as I had too many hats:

I crocheted these hats quite ‘freely’, just for fun, not really aiming them to be perfect (these characters could not be taken seriously anyway I think 😊), but still let me share how I made them, it might help you to create your own… if not yet. 😊
