Crocheted owls

My son asked me to make a green owl… he could use as a lovey at sleep time. ๐Ÿ˜Š After searching among the patterns available, he selected this one by Svart Huset:

So as requested, I made a green one:

Itโ€™s an easy pattern, could finish in a short time. As my son wanted the owl only (it was part of a garland in the original pattern), I did not make any holes on it but made a simple sc instead.

I used 3mm hook and Alize Cotton Gold yarn. The finished toy is cca 9cm tall. I changed the pattern a bit, for me the head would have been too small, so reduced the number of increases.

After adding the wings in row 18, I continued as:

R19: (5sc, dec) around (36 sts)

R20: (4sc, dec) around (30 sts)

R21-27: sc around (30 sts)

The other parts and the finishing was the same.

When ready, as always, my other two kids immediately wanted an own too, a blue and a pink one. So we have 3 of them now. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Cheers,

Judit
